Lancaster community, please come out on Sunday, October 9 to support the Standing Rock Sioux and the largest native american gathering in a century against another proposed pipeline (more info below and at ). The Dakota Access Pipeline is a proposed project by Energy Transfer Partners, set to carry 450,000 barrels of fracked crude oil per day from North Dakota to Illinois. The Standing Rock Sioux and their water sources happen to be in it's path, along the Missouri River. They are taking a bold stance to protect their water and livelihood, and still, before all permits have been issued, Energy Transfer Partners are desecrating sacred indigenous land. The company has bulldozed through burial sites and used private security attack dogs and pepper spray on peaceful land defenders, including children. The camp now hosts more than 120 tribal nations, said to be the largest gathering of native americans in a century.

You should care about this because as a Pennsylvanian your state tax dollars are helping to fund this project. The commonwealth, largely it's state employee retirement pension dept, PSERS, is one of the major investors, owning shares valued at some $192 million.

You should care about this because treaties of native people are still not being honored. It's time to stand up and be an ally.

You should care about this because all pipelines leak... and some explode.

You should care about this if you care about the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline coming through Lancaster county. Because as protectors of our valley, we are not alone in this fight.

The people at Standing Rock are there for the long haul. Winter comes fast and hard in North Dakota, and they're asking for our help.

For all of these reasons we are asking you to come raise funds and vital resources for these Brave Warriors and Defenders and Protectors of Standing Rock. We will come together this night to celebrate the spirit of resistance and promote the continued promise of the power of the collective voice to make change!

Have any questions contact us via. email at dutchlandtodakota@gmail.com or call and leave us a message at #717-209-2882

Thanks all and we look forward to seeing you there!
